I Chose to Live Here on Earth

My name is ivy, I am from Kenya.

Life hasn't been an easy journey and I know that when I chose to live here on Earth I didn't choose an easy course. Things haven't been well for my family and I, I can't even count how many times I have wet my pillow in tears talking to heavenly Father to ease my burdens. Sometime you go to bed not even sure what your next meal will be, or if your landlord will kick you out of the house or, if you're going to find happiness in life but with all this baggage in my life I have hope, for I Know in whom I put my trust in. I have witnessed the Lord's hands in my life countless times to even doubt if He ever sees my pain.. studying scriptures, fasting consistently, paying my time and striving to be a better version of myself has helped me to be strong. The promise the Lord declared to us that we are never alone is very true. We need to plead with our heavenly father to do only what He can do then get off the way and let Him do it. God does answer our prayers all the time it's just that sometimes we never pay attention to the answers He give, it may be a no, a yes, or a wait, but He will answer us if we come unto Him with broken hearts and contrite spirit. I know that God lives, I have been able to feel his presence in my life and I have witnessed what he is capable of, I know that Jesus Christ loves us more than we can imagine and His arms are stretched out to hold us when we feel tired, when we feel we can't go on any longer. I know that the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints is truly God's kingdom, in the humble name of our savior Jesus Christ, Amen
