He Knows What I'm Going Through

I know that God cares about us. He cares about what we do. He loves us and he is always there for us. I have had several experiences when the Lord has shown to me that he knows what I'm going through. One time I was getting gas at the gas station and because of my debit card I always have to pay inside and I always lock my car. I paid for my gas and then I pumped it without a problem and then when I went to get into my car I realized I couldn't find my keys. I looked down onto the driver's seat and saw them. I had locked myself out of my car and I was in front of a gas pump, people were giving me looks because I was in the way. I called my mom and explained the situation. I also had a place to be, but I was in a neighboring city, at least 15 minutes away from when mom could get to me. I was thoroughly embarrassed and began to panic slightly that I would get in trouble for not moving my car. My mom told me to calm down, she was already in the car but was unsure if she had an extra key with her, which would cause her to drive home and take even longer to come save me. She told me to be patient and count. I did not start counting after we hung up the phone because I knew that I was going to be waiting for a long time. Then all of the sudden a mintue or less later my mom drives up, and had an extra key to my car with her. My mom just so happened to be in the neighboring city at that very moment and just so happened to have an extra key to my car, and so I was able to get out of there quickly and not get into trouble. God cares even about the little things. He knew I needed help and that I was worried about getting into trouble, so he used my Mom and other factors to fall into place so that my mom was right there when I needed help. This is but one experience of mine. I love the gospel and my Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. I testify that God is in the details, He knows and cares about what is going on in your life. His hand is there, we just have to recognize it. If we look for Him in our life, we will find Him.

Personales e Incomparables

I can't even remember when was the last time I shared my testimonial, maybe 3 years ago or maybe more, I was reading the other testimonials to find inspiration or maybe just to compare myself but I felt the impression that they are so personal and uncollectible that I cannot compete for which is better. My parents knew the gospel when they had been married for a few months, then due to life circumstances they were inactive for almost 12 years, they came back when I was 4 years old and we were sealed when I was 5 years old. I could never choose whether or not I wanted to go to church or seminary, for my parents it was extremely important that I and my brother participate in all the activities and meetings in the church, I decided to serve a mission and then I decided to move to the other side of the continent looking for a better education, for the first time in my life there was no one who was reminding me how vital it is to go to church, I was alone I had no one to render an account to, I think that for the first time my testimony was tested. Moving to a country with a different language, without friends and in the middle of winter made me depend a lot on God, but over time I got used to it, learning the language and the climate was improving and my dependence on Jesus was decreasing. In my life, I have had spiritual ups and downs but he testified of a loving heavenly father that although I am very low, he is able to rescue me and make me feel that I am worthy of many blessings but I must be close to him. I could never say that it is a weight to be a member of the church is more for me is a balm in my gray and lonely days testified of the atonement of Jesus Christ which is infinitely capable of making me feel important, unique, loved, and that I am not alone. I have no doubt that this gospel is true that God the Father sent his son Jesus Christ to pay for all my sins and that if I make an effort I will one day be able to live with my family in a state of endless happiness, which is my greatest wish.

Dispel the Darkness

Here is my testimony: I know that my Savior lives! I Also know through his Atonement I am able to grow and change for the better each day and every day! I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is God's true restored church here in this Earth! I know the gospel helps me dispel the darkness in my life. Also I know that I can be good light to others as long as follow the spirit. I know the Book of is true and as we feast upon it's words we will never go astray! I know these things to be true. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

It is a Warm, Happy, Peaceful Feeling

I know that the Book of Mormon is true because it makes me happy. But the kind of joy it brings is different to other types. It is not like the joy you feel when you see a rainbow or you are able to find a constellation on a clear night. it is also distinctly different from the feelings that inspire laughter when watching a bird throw moss from a roof. It is a warm, happy, peaceful feeling that can only be felt when something is truly of God. And because of this, it stands to reason that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God or otherwise he would not have been able to translate the Book or if he did it would not evoke the same feelings. If all of this can be taken as true than it most certainly possible to ascertain that the Church is also true and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is truly Gods true and restored church upon the Earth.

Am I Good Enough for God?

Am I good enough? Am I good enough for myself, am I good enough for God? Does He think I'm good enough? These thoughts are constantly on my mind. I constantly question my ability to serve the Lord well. However, as I have studied and pondered the Savior's sacrifice in Gethsemane and on the cross, and His success over death, I know that I good enough for God. Because of Christ's life, death, and resurrection, He is able to fill in the gaps where I am inadequate. I have seen that, when I try my best to be a good and faithful servant, the Savior steps in to magnify my efforts. I am forever indebted to Him, and I will always worship Him. Christ is our Redeemer, our Mediator, our Friend. Because of Him, I am good enough.

In the Name of the One and Only, the Alpha and Omega

Well. I would like to start at the very beginning. I met the Missionaries of the church on a cold fall day in 2014. My day hadn't been the best but I was excited to go home but before that I had something to do. I had moved just a few days before and I had to get something back. If I didn't get that done on this day I would have never met the Elders. I hopped on a bus after my appointment and there they were. Two redheads shining brighter than anything else. I noticed them talking about me. I'm a redhead too, I might add. I wished them a nice day and we parted ways without knowing anything about each other. A week later I ran into them again and from then on I believed it was meant to be. I decided to find out who those people are. Two weeks later God led me to them again and I finally found the guts to ask if we could have a real conversation.
I went to their English class and we talked for a bit and then I finally asked "what in the world are you even doing at a place like this?" They told me that they were missionaries and I was even more curious. The following days were filled with lessons about the gospel and I felt my heart beat faster every time I learned something new. I felt as if I was arriving. As if something was dragging me in.
I wanted to get baptized but some things didn't let me for quite some time. I used the time to study every day and to pray and 9 months later I finally got baptized.
Now don't think that this is making your life magically easier. You have chosen God once you got baptized and that means you are an enemy to Satan and he will try everything to drag you down. He most certainly did that for me.
My testimony was wavering cause shortly after I had gotten baptized heavenly father decided to take my grandma back home. I was mad and sad and I didn't understand him but today I do.
I know that God never hurts his children without a purpose. I know that cause I have seen him change me through my hardships. I felt his love even when I was on the ground crying and when I sinned he still stretched his arms out to me and was willing to carry me through everything even if it was my own fault.
I realised that Joseph Smith really was a prophet and that he really saw the father and the son that wonderful spring day. I know that cause no one in their right minds would die for something they didn't one hundred percent believe in. Joseph gave his life for the church but more importantly with this action he showed us how real it is.
I have a strong testimony of Jesus Christ. He is my saviour. My redeemer and my healer. Without him I am nothing. Without him I don't have worth. He is the part of me that is worth everything and I'd never want to live without him again. Life isn't easy and no one said it would be. But life with him in your heart at least puts you in the position to fight.
Christ has given his life for me so I want to give mine to him. I know he loves me. I know he lives. He rose from the cross and he has led me to that bus and to the park and to the church. He has given me my life and all the blessings in it and I couldn't be happier to say that I believe.
In the name of the one and only, the alpha and omega, the master and the teacher, my saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.

God Has Blessed Our People

I am grateful for the love of my Father in Heaven. I am grateful to be able to be with my husband and family forever because of the sacrifice of our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. I am grateful for the prophet Russell M. Nelson and for his counselors, and the other apostles and general authorities. I am grateful for the messages of love and leave that they bring and share. I am blessed and grateful to live in a country that I am able to worship my Heavenly Father as I see fit. I’m grateful for the blessings in my life, and in the lives of my friends and family. I am grateful for the growth and changes that I’ve seen in my life, and that our country is making. I know that God has blessed our people. I know that we need to do and be better, and that God will help us.

A Family That Taught Me

I grew up in a family that taught me about the Gospel of Jesus Christ restored through the prophet Jospeh Smith. I guess I always knew the Church is true. My testimony about it has been strengthened over the years as I attended primary, and youth classes then YSAs. It was at seminary days that I had the desire to really find out and pray about the truthfulness of all these things I know to be true. And the answer came simply that I always know it is true. I know that God loves me. We are His children. Jesus Christ is His Son and our brother. Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. The Book of Mormon is true. Families can be together forever because of all the things that has been restored in our days. I come to understand more about these truths as I went on my mission and fulfilled callings after. And I am getting to know more of its truthfulness everyday.

My name is Paula and I am 26 years old. I am a member of the Church my entire life. My parents served a mission, they met after a while, they were good friends and after a courtship, they got married in the Lima Temple. Everything was going wonderfully, God was fulfilling his promises just as he had made them to my parents. One normal day like everyone else, my dad started to feel very tired and a little sick, they took him to a doctor so he can check him and he was diagnosed with End-Stage Leukemia. He had very little time to live. He didn't know it but my mother did, she was devastated and overwhelmed, we were 4 children who were going to be orphaned, we had been an obedient and diligent family. Why us? He fulfilled the word of wisdom, he was faithful in the Gospel, why? After a not so long fight against this disease, my father left this world leaving us with indescribable pain, very strong and irreparable. He passed away on 12/11/2001 and my birthday was 12/23 of that year. Sounds harsh right? One night we asked my mom who was going to baptize us if my dad wasn't there? (I speak in the plural because I have a twin sister) Then my mom looked us in the eye, hugged us, and said: Daughters, now that your Dad watches over you from heaven, our Heavenly Father is closer to us. So don't worry. Someone good is going to baptize you. It was a truly wonderful experience, but what I have not forgotten since that day are the words that my mom said to me: Our Heavenly Father is closer to us! That phrase has been an accurate testimony that God never leaves us. From that day to date I have seen countless miracles in my life, we have never lacked anything at home, we have seen the hand of God in everything; from small things like miraculously finding coins on the living room table to get us around on the bus to big blessings like having enough to eat at home and access to university scholarships thanks to angels that God has sent to bless our lives. I write this so that you know that it does not matter the test we go through or the pain we feel; The Savior Jesus Christ has already gone through everything and he does understand. Let's not stray from the Gospel, look for opportunities to serve and do things under the influence of the Spirit. God never left us alone and he never will! Thanks to the restored gospel of Jesus Christ we can be eternal families!

I know it because I have lived it and I will always believe it! Jesus Christ is at the head of this Church, without His direction, we could not do all the things that are required of us. He lives and loves us. I share this in your sacred name, amen!

Also See All the Good in This

When I'm asked to share my testimony on the spot, I get kind of nervous and scared. But right now I actually feel like I have so much to share. Throughout all this COVID-19 stuff, all anyone can do is complain and I'm in that same boat. But I can't help, but also see all the good in this. Yes, people are sick. Yes, people are dying. But also people are coming closer to Christ. They are recognizing their Savior and all this is causing them to look at life differently. It has made me realize how prophetic President Nelson truly is. Who would have thought two years ago that we would need an at-home study program.

Nothing Happens by Mistake

I have a strong testimony of the atonement of Jesus Christ. I know that christ died for us so that we could return back to God and him. I know that nothing happens by mistake. Recently I came to a realization that trials are a blessing. I got sick while serving a mission and it humbled me. When I got home I started doing byu pathways. Which lead me to attend byui. I know that God prepared me for that. He loved me so much that he wanted to see me grow in many ways. I know that he answers prayers because he has answered mine. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God. Christ is our savior and loves all children on this earth. We are sent here to be tested and to have joy. I know that president Russell M. Nelson is a prophet. He receives revelation for Christ's church. I know if we have a sincere desire to know something that God will help us receive that answer. If we seek we shall find. I say these things in the name of our beloved savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Free Hugs Campaign

Well, doing the Free Hugs Campaign I didn't do until last year actually. Like anything, it was a bit scary standing in front of people I didn't know holding a sign for free hugs with the hashtags #EndDepression and #LighttheWorld. I remember I live in Las Vegas and the strip is where you see a lot of travelers pass by and even people from across the world came. I started and held my sign up and waited  Many saw my sighn and smiled that I took a stand for adults, teens and children who suffer from depression and hugs I believe Light up the World as well. By the end of the day when the sun was going down, I gave out 521 free hugs to some of the locals in Las Vegas, a few tourists from England and a few from Spain on holiday and I prayed with the Lords Help I felt I was able to light the world or Las Vegas with showing kindness, love, showing I care about others even though I didn't know them, I still was able to 🖤 One day after Corvid is done, I want to do the same in Salt Lake City, Utah, Boise, Idaho and one day around the world.

We Have The Atonement of Jesus Christ

I’d like to bear my testimony that I know while things are hard that we have the atonement of Jesus Christ. He not only suffered on the cross for us but died so that we might live. I know that through him we can return to our Heavenly Father above. As well this opportunity is of the utmost importance to be here at this time. I know we having a living prophet today and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I know he translated the Book of Mormon and it is a book of truthfulness. I know this church is true with my full heart. In the name of the beloved son Jesus Christ Amen.

The Doors of Happiness Will Open

5 years ago was the time where I felt sad, heartbroken, misunderstood by many problems that came and went from my life, but all change when I met two young men called elders, who taught me what it was like to connect with the Lord, they made me feel the spirit to be able to speak with him, those experiences helped me to feel the love of my heavenly father, to know that I was not alone, that he was my support and that we were both in this battle, the gospel of Jesus Christ became in the best armor to fight against all my challenges, I know that we are not alone, that despite these difficult times, we have a loving father who loves us and wants the best for us, I have lived many experiences full of love from him, something that has taught me to be able to be patient and wait for the Lord's designs, being inside his church not only brings us blessings but also helps us to be better disciples of Jesus Christ, to love one another others; and to be able to be better every day despite our difficulties, I can say that it also depends on us to be able to reflect the love of our heavenly father and we can achieve it, we just have to give ourselves that opportunity to know him and follow him, I promise you that you will not be disappointed, I am sure that the doors of happiness will open, remember that we need to be that light that the world needs in full darkness.

All These Promised Blessings are Within Our Grasp

My testimony, through faith and experience, is this: I know that God is real. I know He is our Loving, All-powerful Heavenly Father and that we are created in His image. Everything He has created is for our good and happiness. I know His plan of salvation is perfect, and I know that it is possible for us through our real Savior, Redeemer, Counsellor and Eldest Brother Jesus Christ. I know that He, the Only Begotten Son of God suffered for every sin, pain, heartbreak, sickness and agony each and every one of us have suffered or committed in our lives, and that He ensures and overcame Hell itself for us. Because He loves us. Infinitely. Perfectly. More than we can comprehend. I know that God and His Son have not vanished in our day, that they continue to speak to us today through scripture old and new - especially the Book of Mormon - and through Latter-day prophets from Joseph Smith to Russell M. Nelson. I know that Christ restored His true church to the earth through His Prophet Joseph, and that He continues to guide us today through His prophet Russell Nelson. I know that families can be together forever and are meant to be under God’s glorious plan and that no matter our circumstances, peace and joy are available and offered to us today and in the eternities by God and His Son. We are meant to be happy. We are meant to become like Them. And they want nothing less than us to share in Their joy and receive everything that they have. I testify that all of this is true, and that all these promised blessings are within our grasp if we will just trust God and follow Jesus. In the sacred name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Exactly as They Come From His Mouth

I know that God hears and answers our prayers. When we ask in faith, believing that we will receive, He is mighty to deliver. I have a testimony that God's word is true and that His promises will come to pass as He has spoken them. God does not deceive by fulfilling his promises in kind-of, sort-of ways; no, He will fulfill every word He speaks as exactly as they come from His mouth. I testify that we can have confidence in the promises to prophets of old and in the testimonies of prophets today. I testify that the revelation that we receive from God is binding and will come to pass. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen!

Dealing With Unexpected Difficulties

So my testimony has a title called dealing with unexpected difficulties. so I was raised by a single mother with my siblings I'm the third Born . My mother she was my everything though Life wasn't easy but mostly I was grateful that I had my family with me and we were happy with what we had. By the way I'm the only member in my family I'm a Convert but I've always been a Christian all my life. My family there seventh day Adventist.

So my mom got sick when I was about to write my final exams  I was in nine the grade by then unfortunately she couldn't make it! I was shocked and become depressed I've always loved my family. there my life!  I was separated with all my siblings we went separate ways and that's when I understood what life really is! I become so broken to the extent that I was just wanting for the day I'll die. Being an orphan in Africans it's not something easy honestly!. I was given a shelter by other family members but I wasn't given an opportunity to go back to school. I know this is not necessary but it's part of my testimony there's is a specific point and lesson I learned in all this and I hope and pray that it is going to help someone out there.
I had no purpose of living anymore I almost gave up cos I felt like the whole world is against me I become too emotional and I started feeling Bad for myself I couldn't stop thinking about my mom and my siblings then I recalled what Mama used to tell us " what doesn't kill you makes you strong" so instead of feeling bad for myself I got up one morning with a hope of getting a simple job and go back to school and that was it! I read my scriptures asked heavenly father to guide me cos I knew at that moment he's the only one I had who can make things work for me!. I did what I had to do at home then I was gone. It's not easy to get a job here without connections but I was offered a part time job in a big super market where I was given an opportunity to do my study after that I had to report back to work to me that's all I needed at that moment. It wasn't easy though work, school and house chores it's so stressing but I had a will! I always told myself that where there's a will there is a way! I knew that heavenly father he was preparing me for something great. And I was willing to carry the cross I told myself that I'm not gonna give up no matter what! Each morning I get up and pray study My scriptures go to school then after school work it became my daily routine. by then I had given up on churches cos I believed that I can still make it on my own like I didn't need a church to go to heaven all I needed was my Bible and it was enough for me to get me to heaven. Then I met with the missionaries in 2017 October at my work place they introduced me to the gospel but we didn't talk much cos I didn't even care so they seat an appointment with me  I gave them another chance and that was the best decision ever!  From there they invited me to church I felt so welcomed for the first time! I had friends who really notice my existent!  I felt so loved  I started learning and the more I learned the more I wanted to serve others too! I become too emotional and I love helping others I become a motivational speaker during my high school  I love to see others happy and it all because of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm so grateful for the gospel and for the missionary work am also grateful for the book of Mormon it has really changed my life and I know that the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints is the true church with a living prophet here on Earth it has given me the reason to live and to be grateful for what I have it has showed me how to love someone and how it feels like to be truly loved. I know that not all members are perfect we all make mistakes but I know with all my heart that the church is true not because someone told me but because I have seen it for myself.

The advice to all those who might be going through some difficulties or feel pain always remember that there is no testimony without a test. just hold on to the iron road always read your scriptures and pray for the strength it is not always easy but through learning that's how we grow!

How Have You Seen the Hand of God in Your Life?

How have you seen the hand of God in your life?

That one is a question that every day I try to make it to myself. God’s hand is always in my life! Since I wake up until the next morning.
My testimony is that God is my Heavenly Father, He wants me to be better. He knows of my potential. He knows that I’m important and He wants to see me and my family again.

You are important! You have a divine identity. We have Heavenly Parents and even though hard circumstances, there is divine help available.

I would love to share my testimony humbly, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
